Louis-Philippe Porcelain Medici Vases

About the Item

Pair of porcelain Medici vases set on high, square bases. All sides of the vases are decorated with bouquets of multicolored flowers on white background with accents of gold foliage painted on green background. The lower part of the body is embellished with motifs that imitate precious stones. Each vase has two short handles that are painted with gold, and the face of a satyr is set at the base of each handle. Original glass domes, wood bases, and flower bouquets, circa 1840. Dimensions vases: H 28 cm, L 15 cm, P 15 cm. Dimensions with glass dome: L 17 cm, P 17 cm, H 49 cm, W 6.7 in, D 6.7 in, H 19.3 in.
