Derby Porcelain Works Leaf Pattern Lidded Sucrier and Stand
About the Item
A stylish English Georgian porcelain lidded twin handled sucrier and stand decorated in a leaf pattern by Derby Porcelain Works and dating from around 1820. The rounded shaped rectangular form sucrier stands raised on four ball shaped feet with shaped body with twist handles with leaf terminals applied at either end. The sucrier comes with a matching oval shaped stand and both are decorated with gilded patterning with leaves hand painted in tones of blue. Both the sucrier and stand have red painted Derby marks to the base.
In good condition with an old metal staple repair reattaching the finial to the cover and applied to the side of the sucrier to a firing crack. Otherwise in very fine overall condition with excellent decoration.
