Italian Asparagus Vegetable Serving Dish with Egg Holder Trompe l'Oeil Style

About the Item

A vintage Italian white ceramic serving dish with a hand decorated green asparagus design, in the Trompe l'Oeil style, circa late-20th century, Bassano, Italy. This oval serving piece has two bunches of asparagus with one bunch tied off with orange string and a touch of purple on their tips, indicating freshness. Piece also has a place for eggs (2, one on each side.) Hand decorated colors on a white ceramic ground include green, touches of purple, and orange. Makers' marks on underside as shown in last images. A beautiful piece for a table setting, indoors or out. Very good condition as shown in images. No chips noted. Dimensions: 8" Depth x 11.63" Width.
