Strasbourg Gorham Sterling Silver Serving Spoon w/ Pierced Bowl & Tines

About the Item

The gracefully arched handles of this exquisite pattern are adorned with intricate scrollwork, drawing inspiration from the rococo design style characterized by elegant, shell-like curves that were prominent in 18th-century France. Named after a small French village near the German border, this ornate pattern beautifully captures the exuberance of rococo design with subtle hints of the opulent German Baroque era. Delicate carvings along the edges accentuate a smooth central panel and gently culminate in a subtle shell motif near the tip. Originally introduced in 1897, this design brings a touch of vivacity to traditional table settings, whether for everyday dining or special occasions. 8 1/2"
