An exceptional, fine and impressive, miniature antique Victorian English sterling silver teapot in the Chinoiserie style; an addition to our silver teaware collection This exceptional and rare antique Victorian sterling silver miniature teapot has a cuboid shaped form. The body of this silver teapot is embellished with impressive embossed panels of Chinoiserie style ornamentation, depicting plum blossom and foliage designs on a matte background. Each panel features a plain silver border, incorporating four bracket style feet to the lower portion. This antique silver teapot is fitted with a hinged cover ornamented with further embossed decoration and surmounted with the original floral decorated finial. The teapot is fitted with a fine and impressive swept handle incorporating stylised blossom designs. This exceptional miniature silver teapot features a panelled swan necked spout accented with further floral designs to the lower portions. Condition This Victorian miniature silver teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. The embossed decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Victorian silverware. The body of this silver teapot is plain and unembellished. This antique silver teapot is fitted with a push fit domed cover surmounted with a cast silver baluster shaped finial. The teapot is fitted with a fine and impressive cast opposing scrolling handle. This exceptional miniature silver teapot features a plain cast silver swan-necked spout. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this Dutch silver teapot include: National mark: Crowned shield with three Andrew crosses (Amsterdam, minimum of .875 standard) Date letter: F (1716) Maker's mark: Untraced Such period miniature examples of this substantial gauge of silver and quality are rare to the market. Condition This 18th century teapot is a superior gauge of silver and superior quality. The Dutch silver miniature teapot is in exceptional condition. The surface of the bachelor teapot is plain and unembellished. The upper rim of the body is ornamented with a band of cast and applied gadroon decoration all in a swirl design. This antique silver teapot is fitted with a hallmarked, domed flush hinged cover surmounted with an impressive and original, cast sterling silver flame style finial; the flush hinge indicates the high quality of the piece. This exceptional example of antique teaware retains the original C scroll carved painted wood handle featuring a plain scrolling thumbpiece and a cast silver leaf decorated design to the upper socket, This impressive example of antique silverware has a cast silver swan necked spout embellished with fluted decoration and applied leaf motif to the lip. The ornamentation to the underside of the spout incorporates a vacant oval cartouche below a shell motif. The cast circular spreading foot is encircled with further gadroon decoration to the rim. Note: This maker may have been recorded in the missing 1739-1758 Smallworkers' Register or the 1758-1773 Largeworkers' Register, determining this maker's mark to be classed as 'unidentified' in all documents.
