About the Item
This Classical Walking Stick in Ebonized Walnut & Sterling Pommel W/ Heraldic Crest originates from France during the Late 19th Century. Features a elegant and timeless profile with a lovely pommel in sterling silver. The pommel is formed by a raised helmet form cap attached with finished nails to a band circumscribing the top of the shaft, with an ample diameter to grip comfortably. The crest is hand-tooled, featuring what appears to be a lizard walking upwards in a shield form composition, then with a loosely rendered crown directly above. This lovely Walking Stick is a lovely and sophisticated piece with intriguing imagery and material beauty, styles excellently with a wide array of dress and occasions. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
