Mexican Terracotta Articulated Doll Figure, 1920's

About the Item

Amusing Mexican terracotta doll figure with articulated limbs. Since it is solid terracotta it is likely this is a mold from which other dolls were made. As a folk art sculpture it is absolutely charming. The fancy hairdo gives it a whimsical appearance. The collector who previously owned these clearly prized them, having custom bases made for their display. Singular pieces of quirky sculpture for the adventurous collector. They are appealing in their oddity and uniqueness. Measures: 12 inches high 12 wide 10 deep (base alone 10 by 10 by 2.75).
