Early 20th Century Folk Art Whirligig Figure A naïve and charming example of an early 20th century folk art English hand carved pine whirligig figure. Carved from sections of pine wood with all its original paint present, and with movable paddle arms. This figure would have originally been attached to a larger construction at some point as the feet are missing. It come with a bespoke simply constructed metal rod and pine display stand as shown. Dimensions in inches: H 12” x W 4” x D 1.5” Age: 1910 - 1920 Origin: England Condition: Aged This item shows natural wear and aging through obvious use over the years. The paint has worn naturally, with faded and missing detail (specifically the face) The feet have broken of a long time ago and this item comes with a bespoke display stand as shown.
