Breathtaking & exceptional! This French Art Nouveau chandelier made out of solid brass & hammered brass done fully by hand. Originally made for candles and later in its life converted to electricity made in the 1890s at the start of the art nouveau period. This chandelier is one of a kind. You can look at it for hours and still discover new leaves and flowers. We have fully dismantled this chandelier and hand polished all 43 of its parts, the polishing took 35 hours. The chandelier has also been fully rewired before being rebuild. It is now back in its former glory & ready for years of use. It is quite large and most impressive from any angle. The amount of floral decorations, quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing. Each of its 8 arms is richly decorated with leaves, flowers & grapes. Made out of solid brass and then decorated with hammered brass parts. The base of the chandelier itself is entirely made out of hammered brass parts, with great attention to detail and simply exquisite craftsmanship! the base also decorated with grapes, leaves, floral images & an impressive ring of large brass flowers. Even the chandeliers canopy is a work of art. A gorgeous Art Nouveau piece that just keeps grabbing your attention whenever your eyes make contact with it. Refinished. Rewired: The chandelier has been fully disassembled and re-polished by hand to its former glory. Originally a candle chandelier later in its life converted to electricity. This electric wiring was renewed in our workshop. Chandelier is in working order. Wear consistent with age and use.
