About the Item
A handsome pair of uncommon mid-1940s Russel Wright-style Machine Age or Art Deco aluminum torchiere floor lamps.
Broad and deep spun aluminum bowl top with open bottom upon a frosted glass diffuser. Well-proportioned spun and brushed aluminum pole and 12-inch diameter base accented by a glossy black acrylic disc that nicely echoes diffuser.
Stands on a cast iron base insert marked in mold “Brooklyn NY - Goran Mfg Co”.

- Condition:Rewired: Ceramic socket appears to be vintage, with wiring and plug being more recent. Wear consistent with age and use. Nice overall. Shades: moderate amount of mostly small/light scratches, scuffs, and marks to exterior; some minor warping/tilting. Poles: a few tiny/small dings. Bases: light marks; one acrylic disc with a scratch.
