Welcome to the Future!
This is perhaps the most sensational Jetsons era, space age pole lamp we have ever encountered! It is a golden atomic age vision in polished brass!
The three Rocket shaped shades feature articulating brass ball tipped knobs and can articulate very precisely. A three way switch on the gleaming pole permit switching between one, two or three lights. Top and bottom pole segments are tinted a slightly darker shade of gold for a lovely, sophisticated look!
This is the sort of lamp you would expect George Jetson to have in his den, or perhaps as a gift for his daughter Judy! It would be called the "Golden Galaxy 2000" and of course it would be controlled by just a single knob!
One can't stop gazing at it's loveliness! They just don't make anything this beautiful anymore. It's reminiscent of some of Paavo Tynell's golden kinetic chandeliers in its ability to absolutely captivate your attention!
Excellent vintage condition. Light wear/tarnish to the brass. Works perfectly and the large shades hold positions and articulate. The overall appearance is...Out of this World!
We used to think the Stiffel Futura was the most space-age of the pole lamps, but this one is even more futuristic. Unlike the Futura, these oversized shades give plenty of space for bright incandescent bulbs. Radial style slats on the back of each shade provide excellent heat venting for bulbs up to 60-75 watts. This makes this lamp so much more BRIGHT. It can literally light up a room!
