About the Item
Wonderful pair of gilt and patinated bronze sconces beautifully designed in Louis XVI style. These monumental size and opulent sconces, have 2 candelabra lights each with composed twisted flutes, acanthus and bunches of fruits. The stem is adorned with mascarons, garlands of fruits, foliage and oak leaf. Each sconce is topped by ormolu ribbon bow.
These wall sconces are attributed to Henry Dasson or Alfred Beurdeley, after a model of Pierre-Philippe Thomire (French, late 19th century).
