About the Item
A wonderfully decorated pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu, Amethyst, and Rock Crystal sconces. Each stunning three arm sconce is centered by a bottom mottled Ormolu finial with fine prism cut and kite shaped Rock Crystals hanging below. The three scrolled arms are tastefully decorated with tear drop and prism cut Crystals of all sizes with additional pierced top caps throughout each sconce. The bodies display Ormolu scrolls with additional tear drop, prism cut, and Amethyst Crystals. Two wonderfully detailed Crystal rosettes flank the sconces below the top crown, one with clear Rock Crystals and the other in Amethyst. The mottled Ormolu fut leads up to the top crown with scrolled arms showcasing singular Crystals and finished with a large scale Crystal finial accented with Gilt.
