Signed under the base. circa 1960. --------------------------- Royal Boch is an earthenware factory located in La Louvière, Belgium. Founded in 1841, it markets its products under the name Keramis. The factory was founded in 1841 by Eugène and Victor Boch, descendants of a family of earthenware makers since the 18th century. Production, which began in 1844, grew rapidly. Kéramis took part in the Universal Exhibition in Paris. During the 19th century, Dutch craftsmen were hired. Charles Catteau was hired at the end of 1906 as a draughtsman (creation and painting of decorations) and quickly became head of the decoration department.
