About the Item

Art Deco styled desk lamp made by Fog and Mørup in Denmark during the 1940s. It features a patinated brass base and rod. The iconic marbled opaline glass top shade resembles a fried egg in shape - hence its unofficial common name: The Fried Egg. This particular example was made during the early 1940s. The design is similar to lamps from Poul Henningsen, Paavo Tynell, ASEA, Bergboms etc. Measurements: H: 44 cm, Diameter shade/base: 17/12.5 cm. For the US.
