Italian Medici Lions table lamps, heavy lamps made of black patinated metal
Traditional Italian Classic Roman style table lamps

Material: Heavy metal black patinated
Color: Black patinated lions the shades are beige and brown trimmed
Origin: Italy 1970 -1979, Light bulb E27, black corded with on - off switch, max 40 watt
High end Italian classic lamps.
Condition: good condition., ready for home use
The lamps are US compatible, adapter for plug required
The shades are in a good condition but one shade has slight wrinkle on the back.
Not disturbing and barely visible

The original Italian Medici lions sculptures are made of marble. One of which is Roman, dating to the 2nd century AD, and the other lion is a 16th century pendant.
At 1598 the pair was placed at the Villa Medici, Rome. Since 1789 they have been displayed at the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence. The sculptures depicting standing male lions with a sphere or ball under one paw, looking to the side.
Throughout the centuries, lions have been a source of inspiration. The lions are made in different sizes and materials.
