Modernist Textured Hand-Blown Murano Glass Table Lamp with Brass Fittings

This stunning and dramatic modernist table lamp was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- during the latter half of the 20th century. It features a rectangular base with an arched rectilinear form ascending at a perpendicular angle- all in beautiful lustrous brass. In the center of this arched form is a translucent glass panel with organic orbital detailing, suggesting either a metamorphic stone or effervescent water, beaming with life and verve.
