Pair of Antique German Porcelain Chinoiserie Baluster Vases, Fitted as Lamps

About the Item

Each cobalt blue and gilt, two handled and with floral decoration on one side and well painted Chinoiseries in oval cartouche on the other. They are now mounted as lamps with pleated silk shades and matching ornamental braids. These large lamps are highly decorative and imposing, the chinoiserie painted panels are unusual. The palette and modelling suggests a central European origin.
