About the Item
Every so often we come across a rare piece of furniture that, even after centuries have passed, still evokes the life and personality of the original owner. Over 200 years ago this charming comb back chair was made in Jiangsu province for a young child. The low seat is the perfect height for a youngster. The notch built into the elmwood frame was designed to hold an umbrella probably to protect the youngster from the sun.
