Pawnee Pipe Tomahawk, circa 1850-1870
About the Item
Pawnee pipe tomahawk. File burnt and tacked with remnants of yellow paint over entire shaft. Exhibited in the Wichita Falls Museum 1967, Maryland Academy of Art and Science 1969, Florida Museum - Ft. Lauderdale 1973, Collected by Howard Green from Hubbell who collected for George Heye around 1900. This piece also published in the American Arms Society's publication.

- Indian Chief Motif Porcelain Humidor, American, circa 1900Located in Incline Village, NVFine quality hand painted porcelain humidor is in excellent all original condition with no chips, repairs, or overpaint; nice bright crisp paint and detail. No mark, but definitely American, circa 1900 era. Note the detail to the Indian's face and his elaborate headdress. Native American Indians were especially attracted to tobacco and related products and relished the opportunity to pose for pictures on that topic; note cigar store "Indians", match safes, and humidors.
