A year after its 1960 release, it won the Pulitzer Prize and had been translated into ten languages. The New Yorker declared it "skilled, unpretentious, and totally ingenious." In the years since, it has sold more than 30 million copies and been translated into more than 40 languages. The novel has never been out of print in hardcover or paperback, and has become part of the standard literature curriculum for American grade schools. The novel inspired film and stage adaptations, the most notable of which was the classic 1962 film starring Gregory Peck as Atticus. This is a pristine anniversary edition of one of the 20th century’s most sought after titles in American literature, nicely enhanced by Lee's original signature. CONDITION: Very good condition.
