Massive Javanese Ageng Gong

About the Item

This huge, dramatic Javanese gong is the largest gong in the gamelan orchestra. It is 36 inches in diameter and a full 10 inches deep. The ageng gong has the lowest pitch in the orchestra and this particular piece has a beautiful, rich sound. The gong is complete with the original thick red rope used to secure it as part of the orchestra. M197.
