High quality nineteenth century ships binnacle from John Hand and Sons. Mushroom top with oil burners. Brass covers on the iron compensating balls. Brass brackets hold the balls. Brass clinometer from John E Hand and Sons is fitted to the base with a forty degree pitch scale. Varnished wood base. The very best. Circa 1910.
