About the Item
Didactic flower, German manufacture of 1860 circa, depicting Marchantia Polymorpha L., made of painted plaster on a wooden base; the seed is removable. Cm 13 x 38 - inches 5.11 x 14.96. Very good condition.
The Marchantia is a genus of plants of the Marcanziacee family with about 70 species with a wide diffusion, mainly in the humid tropical regions. In Italy the Marchantia polymorpha is common, which forms dense green carpets in very humid places.
