Wooden Easel, 19th Century
About the Item
Magnificent carved wooden easel decorated, high, with a tuft of vegetal motifs framed a curved pediment and simple motifs on the sides. The support for the canvas or paper is made thanks to a horizontal crossbar and two moldings with vegetable motifs, which also has vegetable decorations, as well as the molding located in this area. The legs have ornaments of the same type, but much flatter. In the nineteenth century was very common the mixture of styles that is presented in this work: the top reminiscent of works Rococo, while the sides can become more related to the Renaissance."
