Beginning of the 20th century around 1920.
Oval Chinese Art Deco rug in beige and black tones with a central medallion decorated with symbolic dragons on its two ends.
The dragon was the symbol of the Emperor of China for two millennia. Even today it is considered a national symbol. In Antiquity, it was one of the four magical animals or si ling, signs through which Heaven manifested itself to men. Among the orients, he represents the east.
