About the Item
An 8 x 10 transitional rug design in gray and blue from the Homage Collection by Rug & Kilim. Affectionately dubbed "Suvarna" as the leading designer collaborating with Josh on using Kimonos and fusing geometric and floral oriental patterns.
On the design: Connoisseurs may note motifs including time-honored dragon pictorials, shou medallions, and a geometric interpretation of cloudbands, all paying homage in a unique fashion to some of Josh's most celebrated oriental inspirations. Hand-knotted rugs in the Homage Collection undergo a wash and refinement of pile height to create varied looks of shabby-chic, distressed aesthetic and charm, lending a venerated complement in the case of this transitional design and other classic inspirations. The texture and color through this technique sit beautifully in this 8 x 10, both regal and decorative, exemplifying the works in this line.
