Beautiful Persian Farahan wide runner from the late 1800s. The Herati pattern on the rust red background with a pistachio color border which is unique and rare brings a combination together. The field in this Farahan wide runner contains Herati design patterns with yellow, blue, brown colors. The use of the pistachio green in the primary border which is the signature color for the Farahan carpets in the rugs is very rare but brings a beauty which adds to the elegance of this rug.     A wonderful 19th century Persian Farahan in an all-over Herati pattern in an oversized or “mansion size” in navy blue, green, blue, pale yellow. This extremely finely hand woven Farahan rug from Western Persia has a “Herati” all-over pattern set in a navy blue color field with designs in brick red, ivory. The colors on the border include blue, green, yellow, pink, red, and cream. It is extremely rare to find such a rug in this size in a Farahan rug from the mid-1800s. Although the rug has a very short pile and is worn in some areas, the beauty of the design and fine colors are clearly visible.     A very beautiful and rare Persian Heriz Serapi from the late 19th century. The rug has several distinguishing features that make it very rare and desirable. The features include, one being in an “allover” pattern in a “Tree of Life” design. Also, having a blue background makes this very unique. Over 99% of Heriz rugs have a red background and a central medallion. The rug has a very fine wool and organic vegetable dyes bring out brilliant colors including abrash pale blue, pink, green, and yellow which makes this rug a treasure to be cherished and enjoyed for generations. The border is in rust red designs in blue, pink, and yellow.
