"Antique Horse Saddle Pad, Persian Bag"
COMPLETE CHUVAL, BAKHTIARI TRIBUS, CHAHAR MAHAL, WESTERN PERSIA, CIRCA 1900.
The Bakhtiari have a particular type of double khorjin bag which uses three different weaving techniques: knotted velvet, soumak (weft wrapping) and plain weaving, all very well executed both on the front and back. Rare piece in very good condition!
