This Persian Tabriz-Heriz rug, Heriz rugs are Persian rugs from the area of Heriz, East Azerbaijan in northwest Iran, northeast of Tabriz. This rug has wool pile and cotton foundation, hand knotted with an excellent condition for its age. This rug has semi-geometric, semi medallion design with stunning design which can complements your home furnishings and the artistic design enhances the interior of the room. The base color is orange with blue border color. The size is 9 feet 3 inch wide and 12 feet 5 inch long. Persian Heriz rugs make an excellent investment because of the unique design and outstanding quality. This beautiful rug has vegetable dye; vegetable dyed rugs are those where the dying wool rug is with natural elements obtained from plants. Unlike chemical dyes, they are environment friendly and of great worth. Both ends have been secured and both sides have been rebounded. It is important to note that in different light settings of the house, the rug may seem slightly lighter or darker. This is a pre-owned rug with a very great condition.

In the 16th century during the Safavid Dynasty, Kerman rugs first surfaced and were welcomed open arms by the wealthiest citizens of Persia. Around the 19th century, the village of Kerman was destroyed amidst civil strife. Most of Kerman's weavers escaped to the village of Laver in the north of the region where they resumed the creation of their rugs.
