About the Item
Vintage Heriz Runner 2'8'' x 11'8''. Heriz are one of the most unchanging of rustic Persian rugs, both in the general camel-tone palette and in the design of cartouche-format subfields with, pendanted have hexagonal medallions. Here we have a two panel version with the equally characteristic ecru border showing floret array squares alternating with ultra-stylized palmettes. Solid and compact weave. Good condition. From a town on the edge of the famous NW Persian Heriz weaving area. Versatile narrow kenare (runner) format.
