New England Carver Chair

About the Item

A very classic form of a 17th century New England Style Carver chair that looks to be made in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. This very well crafted chair is made of Maple and ash and has an old rush seat that is in very good condition considering its age. Ball finials on the front legs and urn and flame finials on the rear. Turned and split spindles that are flat on one side between two slightly curved half turned rails and bent knee back legs make it a comfortable sitting chair. Surface imperfections and finish losses in areas. A nice tight chair with an original reddish brown surface.
