Bengt Ruda, Nizza teak chair for IKEA, 1959

About the Item

A-shaped teak chair with the original faux leather upholstery designed by Bengt Ruda for IKEA a in 1959. The chair made its debut in the Ikea catalogue of 1960 and were only produced for a few years so not very many were made. As much of the early IKEA production, this chair was produced in Denmark. Some of the leg joints have been re-glued but it remains sturdy and in overall good vintage condition with light ware consistent with age and use.
