1940’s Traditional Club Chairs Original Red Faux Leather & Wood Legs a Pair

About the Item

Gorgeous vintage Traditional club chairs with original faux leather or vinyl fabric and square tapered wood legs, a pair. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The legs have been painted black but there is still a lovely patina with a few dents and scratches and the faux leather or vinyl has a few signs of age & wear as you would expect from their age. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa,1940’s. Someone better pull the fire alarm because these club chairs are SMOKIN’ HOT!!!! Wow!!! This is a beautiful pair of vintage club chairs wearing their original bright red vinyl or faux leather and comprised of loose zippered T seat cushions, tight backs, rolled arms, and square tapered wood legs which have been painted black. They are going to be exceptional seating across from the sofa in the living or family room, facing one another in your sitting room, or flanking the fireplace in the study. They are traditional in style but will easily blend with most any design style. Whether Art Deco or Arts & Crafts, Modern Country, or Industrial Modern they will fit right in.     Handsome vintage modern Maurice Villency button black vinyl faux leather cube armchair with chrome legs. This is a handsome cube chair by iconic designer Maurice Villency wearing a fabulous black vinyl on the frame of the chair and button tufted black faux leather on the loose seat and back cushions. It has deep wide seating capacity and features low chrome legs with a stretcher and a unique turned diagonal design with the point of the square of the legs facing out creating a diamond look…. It’s STUNNING!! It bares a timeless, classic appearance sure to bring a splash of modern excellence to any room! It will be wonderful in the corner of your bedroom, next to a lovely accent table in your sitting room, flanking the fireplace in the den, or across from your desk in the study. Maurice Villency began designing in the 1950’s at his own furniture loft in Greenwich Village, New York. He was born in Glasgow Scotland, the son of a cabinet maker and at the age of 19 he moved to the United States with his family and introduced Scandinavian Modern furniture with one of his first successes being a sectional.
