French Leather Daybed

About the Item

A handsome fully reclinable daybed in a rich brown cognac leather. The daybed has two extendable arms, with four adjustable gradients for each arm. The daybed can be placed into a fully reclinable position for comfort. The decision was made to keep and restore the original horse hair squab and end cushions, retaining the buttoned detailing and piping, and upholstering them with rich navy velvet. The daybed has been completely restored internally and rebuilt with original tilt mechanisms, brackets, and recliners. The leather has been cleaned and conditioned to highlight its original rich colour and patination, with wear consummate with age and use. Wonderful in every way. French, circa 1920.
