About the Item
Uncommon "Trybo" dining chairs, designed by Edvin Helseth for Trybo Furniture. Solid pine wood is elevated in this boxy, minimal form. Artful woodworking is seen in the dowel construction throughout and spline joinery at the armrests. Slatted seats and a sculpted backrest showcase the dramatic figuring of the wood. A delightful Scandinavian modern design that emphasizes the warmth and natural beauty of this humble material. In excellent condition, with a smooth waxed finish. Sold as a set of 6, matching pine dining table available separately. Norway, 1960s.
