Pair of Wood Frame Lounge Chairs in Orange Velvet, Tobia & Afra Scarpa, Italy
About the Item
A striking pair of 1970s Italian lounge chairs featuring angular wood frames stained a rich chocolate brown hue. These chairs have dramatically curved seats and seat backs, which retain their original burnt orange and plum checkered velvet upholstery with single welt detailing. Unmarked. Sourced in Italy, 1970s.
Great vintage condition. Minor scuffs and marks to the wood frames are concentrated on the lower legs. Slight wear to the original upholstery including fading to the seatbacks and one inconspicuous pull to the fabric on the right side of one of the seats can be seen in photographs. Upholstery services are available through our showroom (Fabric + Upholstery Labor is not included in the purchase price).
