About the Item

One of the most significant contributions of the Scandinavian countries to the European fine arts has been in the field of design. The Scandinavian countries have achieved world-wide renown by attributing a modern aesthetic to their traditional craft industries. Resulting from this were era-defining pieces with an unparalleled aesthetic dimension, such as this sofa. With its classic shape paired with modern design, the generous size, and fully upholstered body, this sofa is outstanding, even when measured to the many beautiful banana sofas created in Scandinavia during the mid-century era. The large, curved backrest follows the curve of the voluptuous seat, creating an inviting and open look.
