This exquisite and thoughtfully designed Art Deco Streamlined Machine Age Burled Walnut & Black Lacquer Bar Cabinet w/ Aluminum Pulls is by the esteemed designer Donald Deskey for the Hastings Company and originates from the Untied States, Circa 1935. Features a minimal curved wood base finished in gleaming black lacquer with along with inward facing curved elements in exposed walnut, which supports the body of the Bar cabinet. The body is composed in a variety of stunning materials, with rounded top corners that contrast brilliantly against the more hard edge elements of the pulls and base. The front is in an amazing Book-matched burled walnut, with incredible detailing and precise finish, and a warm and inviting tonal quality. The Pulls are vertically oriented with fittings in Aluminum and black lacquer, an excellent value contrast to the front and a beautiful example of the design characteristics and motifs of the Art Deco Era. With ample storage within and shelves finished in the same black lacquer. Designed by Donald Deskey, a pioneer of Modern Art Deco design in the united states with numerous accolades, most notably the Interior design and Architecture of Radio City Music hall. This bar cabinet is highly versatile and will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors. In Mint Restored Condition.
