Antique Mid 1800s Swedish or Danish Pine Chest of Drawers Dresser

About the Item

This beautiful Swedish or Danish antique chest of drawers was beautifully crafted out of pine in the early or mid-1800s. Note the beautiful and expert 45 degree angle wood joinery at the top and base corners, as well as dovetails on the drawers. The chest features three drawers and brass handles (replacements), and has a waxed finish. The dimensions of the chest are 37 inches in length, 32.5 inches in height, and 20 inches in width. It would make a stunning addition to any home decor, and is perfect for storing clothes, linens, or other household items. Due to age and wood shrinkage note that the drawers sit slightly proud of the cabinet portion, see last photo. This is common in old pine pieces and it does not affect the structural integrity of the piece. This is an extremely well made, stout dresser crafted out of dense pine/fir wood. Condition commensurate with age and use. Random scratches and dinks in the wood from 150+ years of use. Waxed finish that just glows! Buff with a t-shirt to increase shine or eliminate smudges. Split in the top due to age/wood shrinkage, see photos. An extremely stout and sturdy piece. Brass key escutcheons and pulls are replacements.
