About the Item

This is beautifully crafted antique early Victorian teak military secretaire chest of drawers, circa 1840 in date. The chest freatures two half width drawers over a full width drawer above a shallow drawer that is fitted with birds eye maple compartments and a hinged writing slope lined with a gold tooled black leather writing surface. There are a further pair of further full width drawers below, all the drawers are fitted with the original brass recessed handles. The brass-bound chest is in two parts, for ease of carriage, accented with inset brass hardware and raised on bulbous turned supports Add this splended military secretaire chest of drawers to any room in your home.
