Rounded amounts. Royal red marble top.

France - 18th century
The Regency style is a style of furniture that dates from approximately 1715 to 1723. This period is the time of the regency of Philippe d'Orléans during the minority of Louis XV.
The style therefore succeeds the Louis XIV style and announces the Louis XV style.
This is a Transitional Style. It is characterized in particular by the softening of the lines and the solemn appearance of the furniture manufactured until then, as well as by a very clear tendency towards lightness and elegance, with the invention of the curved line.
Marquetry is a decoration obtained by a different arrangement of wood fibers and for which two sawing methods are used; the standing timber (concentric grooves) and the sole (oval grooves by sawing at an angle).
The Regency style marquetry motifs are diamonds, checkerboards, bouquets of flowers, medallions, musical instruments.
