Japanese Antique Black Wooden Drawer / Small Low Desk / 1868-1920 / Chest

About the Item

This is a wooden drawer made in Japan around the Meiji and Taisho periods (1868-1920). It would also have been used as a low desk. In modern times, it could be used very beautifully as a low display stand. Compared to Europe and America, the design, which is a remnant of the low-lying lifestyle, has a special effect on making the space feel taller and wider. The color is black and it looks cool and easy to match with various spaces. It has a very simple shape and looks great. The material is probably Cedar wood. The metal fittings of the handle are made of iron. Furniture as simple as this is hard to find in old Japanese furniture. Can be used as an exhibition stand, TV stand, sofa side table, bedside table, etc. Recommended item!
