END OF THE 18th CENTURY NOTCHED SIDEBOARD
About the Item
Splendid and rare solid walnut sideboard characterized by an original and functional design. This piece of furniture has a notched structure, enriched by four doors and three drawers in the upper part. Furthermore, it is embellished with an elegant stand with an integrated chest of drawers, which in turn supports a display case specially designed to house a weight clock. The peculiarity of this clock is that the weights, when they drop, disappear inside the cabinet, thus being invisible when not in use. This detail gives further charm to the piece of furniture and demonstrates the attention to detail and aesthetics that characterizes Italian manufacturing of the time. The piece of furniture is in excellent storage conditions. Its dating dates back to the end of the 18th century, a period in which Italian art and craftsmanship stood out for its mastery and beauty.
