18th Century Swedish Neoclassical Painted Secretary Desk

About the Item

18th century Swedish neoclassical painted secretary desk will make the perfect addition to your home whether your decor is modern, traditional, classic or rustic! Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth pine that is similar in characteristics to today's hardwoods, it features a classic design with tailored lines enhanced by the distressed, patinaed painted finish and the corbel-style base structure below. Brass pulls, keyguards and side handles add a nice accent. Open the drawers to reveal capacious storage, and flanking the top drawer are two pull-out supports that provide a sturdy base for the drop-front desk surface. When open, the interior reveals three cubby holes, 12 larger drawers and six smaller drawers plus a central cabinet! circa 1790s Measures 43h x 42.5w x 20d; surface 32h.
