19th Century Charles X Dutch Mahogany Secretaire, 1830s
About the Item
Fantastic Dutch secretaire in mahogany veneer. Rich decoration of inlays with motifs of urns, flower loops and horse carpets. Front with fold-down writing disc, two drawers and door pairs.
On the front with an inlay depicting Apollo on the chariot of the sun. Behind the writing board interior with mirror and drawers.
Minor veneer damage and loss. Single cracks. Minor spots. Cracks.
Key with a flower-shaped map, rare,
circa 1830.
