Monumental Brutalist Dimpled Steel Armoire with Curved Top
About the Item
Steel armoire cabinet, stamped "Hecho en Mexico" to the back panel. Piece is welded with four fixed interior shelves and cord/ventilation openings to the back. Hand-hammered, dimpled finish, curvy hardware pulls and "swoosh" details to each side. This piece transcends a stylistic categorization and has elements of Industrial design, Romantic Renaissance, Spanish Revival, Art Deco, Art and Crafts, and 80s Contemporary-the era when it would have been created.
Incredibly heavyweight and sturdy piece with internal sliding locks to keep doors closed.
This would make a wonderful wardrobe in a home that lacks closet storage, or as a luxurious linen closet.
