Japanese Antique Primitive Coffee Table, Side Table Wabi Sabi

About the Item

This is an old Japanese coffee table. It is from the Meiji period (1860s-1900s). The material is horse chestnut. It was carved from a large horse chestnut tree. It is powerful and the grain is elegant and beautiful. The color is also wonderful. It was used as a mortar for making rice cakes in those days. It is recommended for a coffee table or a flower stand.
