19th Century Qing period Red Lacquer Chinese Altar Console Table
About the Item
The console is from the Chinese Shandong province
ca. 1860-80 (the Qing period) All original.
Original red lacquer with natural age-related patina.
Front side with profiled legs. Table top with wings console tables with wings are often called altar tables.
Later refinished with the same lacquer as the original but a clear/transparent lacquer to keep/preserve the original patina.
