Liz Tables Oval Dining Table in Ibiza Microcement with Brass Ring
About the Item
This is the "coco de mer" table from Liz tables out of the new collection ; the signature edition designed by Atelier Raf.
The details where the brass rings come together reminds of the fruit, coco de mer, that grows on the Maldives. Three of these details are present and they are placed out of center. The brass is patinated and brushed.
It is an inspiration from the Japanese wood makers and the joinery they make. We like to use this same way of thinking, no welding, but joining on a creative way with a very strong result.
The inlay of the tabletop is our Mediterrano Stone microterrazzo. It's a very durable microterrazzo which originate from the famous island Ibiza. On Ibiza they use it to plaster pools with it, very beautiful!
We use it to make our tables with , just to get a little bit of the Ibiza vibe on the table.
It is ultra strong and durable, stain proof, very easy to maintain and has that unique style and elegance to it that no other microcement has!
It looks very rough but when you touch it, it is very soft and smooth, necessary to clean it properly.
We kept the design of the table clean and simple to let the materials and combination speak for itself, it is a very present and well balanced static appearance though. It will make a topic of conversation for sure when you invite friends.
After all this is what Liz does; Liz, brings family and friends together by making beautiful objects to sit around and enjoy the beautiful moments of life.

LIZ TABLES AND/OR ATELIER RAF
Liz Tables is based in Belgium and they specialize in handmade artisan tables and use a variety of products to produce the tables. Two main products are used and that's mineral plasters and terrazzo. They are combined with materials like brass, wood, glass, precious gemstones, recycled products and epoxy's. They produce one of a kind furniture but they also have three collections where you can find a variety of models, sizes and colors. They have partnerships with high-end interior shops in Benelux and work with interior designers on international level. The exclusive items find their way to galleries in city's over Europe.
